In 2005 Stephen co-invented and patented GrIDsure, a groundbreaking method of authentication and pioneered the concept of 'Pattern Based Authentication'. As company founder and Technical Director GrIDsure's customers included the world's fourth largest banking group as well as a broad range of commercial and public sector organisations across Europe, the US and the Middle East. GrIDsure is now being sold by Gemalto, a global provider of security products.
Stephen has worked as an IT management consultant since 2011 designing and developing a wide variety of solutions for companies large and small across many business sectors. He advises on IT strategy, has assisted in patent applications, helped overseas companies gain a foothold in the UK market and worked with them to obtain UK and EU technology innovation grants.
A very approachable individual, Stephen is an excellent communicator at all levels, an innovative thinker who combines solid commercial and IT leadership skills.
A pragmatic technologist who recognises that IT should be a business enabler, Tim brings experience from start-ups through to global multinationals. Having worked in all parts of business from sales to operations, Tim can “argue the strategy and then get on and implement it”, to quote one CEO. Having worked for both IT/Telecoms service providers (e.g. Logica CMG, BT,PIPEX-Verizon Business) and non-IT businesses (e.g. Furniture Distribution, Bullet Proof Car Manufacturer, Restaurateur), Tim has taken products from concept to market, implemented business systems/processes from requirements gathering to roll-out and led organisations through industry certification. Any IT product/system or business process is only as good as the people who use/implement it so Tim also brings extensive change and people management experience to the team.
